Where will the 2023 Gather Charleston event take place?

All public events will take place at the Charleston Visitors Center – 375 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC.

I am coming from out of town. What hotel should I book?

When do tickets go on sale for the 2023 Gather Charleston event?

Tickets for the general public go on sale on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

What is included with a general admission ticket?

The general admission ticket provides access to the Tasting Tent and Demo Stage programming throughout the weekend. For a full overview of ticket levels and pricing, please visit our TICKETS page.

Are you able to buy tickets the day of the event?

Yes, a select number of walk-up tickets will be available to purchase – however it is strongly suggested to purchase tickets in advance.

What is the cancellation policy?

All tickets for Gather Charleston are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you have any specific questions, please email [email protected]

What measures are being taken to ensure the health and safety of attendees?

As presenting partners, Explore Charleston, Food & Wine, and Travel + Leisure are committed to the health and safety of all of our guests. Attendees’ safety and comfort will remain our top priority as we plan and prepare for the 2023 Gather Charleston event. The event regulations, policies, and protocols are under constant review, fully subject to change and will be continually updated and revised in accordance with the most current public health (CDC, State of South Carolina, Charleston County, City of Charleston) information, direction and official guidelines.

Is there a dress code for Gather Charleston?

While there is no formal dress code being enforced for Gather Charleston events, for guests who are looking for advice, we recommend a "resort casual" or "smart casual" approach to packing. As a general note, we advise all guests to dress comfortably and review the weather forecast prior to the event.
(Note: For guests attending Gospel Brunch on Sunday 10/1, we recommend wearing your "Sunday Best" for those elevated events.)

Am I able to attend if I have a food allergy?

Our event will feature a wide variety of foods and beverages from all categories. We cannot guarantee that participating chefs and restaurants will prepare dishes without common allergens, including nuts, dairy, gluten, etc. Additionally, not all events will have vegetarian options available. It’s important to always ask the chef, server or vendor whether or not allergens or ingredients are in the dishes you are going to consume.

Can I bring my baby in a stroller or carrier?

Unfortunately, all Gather Charleston attendees must be 21+. No one under 21 will be permitted into the event, including infants and small children in child carriers.

Is smoking allowed?

No smoking, vaping, or electronic cigarette usage is allowed at any Gather Charleston events.

Event Code of Conduct

Dotdash Meredith is fundamentally dedicated to providing a welcoming, harassment-free experience where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. This is our policy.

All participants—staff, attendees, speakers, sponsors, vendors, exhibitors, and volunteers—at our event are required to agree to and abide by this Event Code of Conduct. Organizers will enforce this Code of Conduct throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a professional, respectful, welcoming, and safe environment for all participants.

We encourage participants to report inappropriate behavior as soon as possible in person or via [email protected]. Dotdash Meredith may take whatever actions it deems appropriate, including, for example, expulsion from the event without refund, notification of inappropriate behavior to sponsor/exhibitor’s employer, and disqualification from attending future events.

Harassment may include deliberate intimidation, exclusion, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual attention, and offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, and/or technology choices.

Participants who are asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the event staff immediately. Event staff can be found at various locations around the event, at the Check In area, and VIP room during operating hours.
